3 Price List Changes Guaranteed to Make You Money
By · CommentsI’m not a fan of beauty salon price lists or prices list for any spa or nail salon or hair salon.
In fact if I could I’d get you to do away with them COMPLETELY.
Salon price lists are a very bad way to show what you do.
And most are even worse than that!
Put two beauty salon price lists side by side and too often the only way you’re left to distinguish between the two is by PRICE!!!
AAAGGHHH!!!
That puts you in a really weak position!
Competing on price is NOT where you want to be.
Look.
I don’t have time here to tell you about the alternatives – it’s a BIG story and requires a number of changes.
Changes that elevate you above ALL your competition and allow you to charge as much as 500% or more than your closest competitor.
BUT, I know I’ll struggle to convince you to get rid of that awful price list so here are THREE things you can do to atl least minimse the damage caused by your price list…
1. Don’t just list your treatmens. INLCUDE BENEFITS. How will they make people look and feel? Why are they different?
2. Do NOT INCLUDE prices. Make them ASK you what they are. That gives you the chance to tell them why you’re different and substantiate the price.
3. Include a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE! This is the fastest way to separate you from your competition and boost sales. And as long as you’re doing a good job, the bump in sales will FAR outweigh refunds..
There are tons more I could give you but do these three and TELL ME HOW YOU GET ON.
Dedicated to your success,
Henry.

Video: How to Use Twitter to Grow Your Salon or Spa
By · Comments
Have you ever wondered about ‘what’ Twitter is or ‘how’ you can use it to find and keep clients.
When Twitter first arrived I was as skeptical as a salmon looking at a plastic fly which kept landing on the water surface onend of a piece of string.
I’m not a fan of the latest greatest whiz-bang technolgy UNLESS it helps you.
So, I spent a few months doing some Twitter investigation and testing and discovered a really easy system which allows you to attract and keep clients using Twitter for free!
It’s not for everyone – certainly not for those shy of learning some new things.
For those who’d like to ‘unleash’ the power of the ‘Twit’ I’ve posted a new video training on the Salon Marketing Club.
Members have immediate access – non members can see it free too.
It’s all here:

19th Century Salon Marketing ‘Kicks Butt’…
By · CommentsHey,
Couldn’t resist this today.
I’ve been reading a lot about the history of our industry – where it came from and thus perhaps where we’re going.
I came across a great book called “Inventing Beauty” by Teresa Riordan. I think it’s out of print but you can grab a copy on Amazon (quite expensive…).
It’s packed full of bsolutely ingenious old beauty ads.
And a lot of them are actually really good. I mean – check this one out.
I bet Posh Spice hasn’t got one of those!
But in all seriousness – can you spot WHY this is such a good ad?
Best, Henry.
PS: I’ve been going kinda ‘video mad’ lately and have some really useful videos I’ll point you to next week. Look out for the mails – they’ll really help.
