How to Boost Salon or Spa Sales TODAY With a Guarantee

If not, why not? I’ll guarantee you are making a BIG mistake if not.
Providing a rock solid guarantee to your clients is one of the easiest ways to overcome TWO innate characteristics we all posses – scepticism and inertia.
If someone is sceptical about what you say – that quite simply ‘they don’t believe you’! And on top of that – when we are about to make a purchase we all have an inbuilt resistance to actually pulling out our credit card or cash and confirming that purchase.
And this applies to EVERYTHING!
Whether it’s buying a new TV (with the whizz bang picture), buying a new camera, buying a bicycle, a house, a car, a HAIRCUT, having a facial, nail extensions, waxing, a massage or anything else.
This innate scepticism and inertia accounts for a BIG portion of the people that show interest in what you have but don’t actually buy it.
So how do you overcome these two little challenges?
Well…
One of the easiest weapons in your arsenal is a simple guarantee! Simply guarantee your clients that what you sell will do what it is supposed to.
And if not, they can bring it back OR have their money back
MOST companies HAVE to do this ANYWAY!!!
BY LAW!!!
So… You might as well use it to your advantage and make it BLATANTLY obvious that you do guarantee what you do.
Not only will it help overcome scepticism and inertia but it will also give you a BIG advantage over your competition.
If you had two identical products lined up, one guaranteed, one not, which you would go for? In fact, if you had two identical products lined up, one slight more expensive than the other BUT guaranteed…
Which would you go for???
A guarantee WILL increase your salon or spa sales – no question.
And if you are SCARED to offer one because of returns, consider this:
1. The boost in sales will outweigh returns in nearly ALL cases.
2. If it doesn’t – you’ve got a BIGGER problem which needs to be fixed. And I don’t CARE what you sell… Makes NO ODDS!
You CAN guarantee it somehow.

Your Salon or Spa May Fail if You Don’t Know These Two Things!

What a weekend.
Sunny, hot, barbecues and relaxation.
Fantastic.
I hope you had a great weekend too.
Over the weekend I spent a little time filtering through all the different options we as business owners have to attract and keep clients.
And there are MORE than ever.
Just tons and tons of them.
In fact, there are SO many it’s often difficult to decide WHAT to do next.
So – I’m gonna simplify things for you a lot!
There are ONLY 3 things you need to do succeed in your salon or spa.
1. Attract more customers.
2. Get each one spending more.
3. Get each one referring more people.
That’s it.
Nothing more.
Now, the ‘tools’ you choose to use to grow your salon or spa MUST do one or a combination of those 3 things.
If they don’t – don’t spend your time on them.
The secret is to use as many different strategies as you can to do those 3 things.
AS LONG AS THEY WORK!
And that sentence there is the clincher.
So how do you know if they work?
Well, you MUST get an accurate measurement of at LEAST the following TWO statistics.
How MUCH it costs you to get a new client. Whether that’s from direct mail, the internet, press releases, face to face, the telephone, ads, yellow pages, Twitter etc, etc.
AND you must work out your AVERAGE LIFETIME CLIENT SPEND.
Now, as long as the amount it costs you to acquire a new customer is less than the your average lifetime spend… Guess what…
It makes YOU MONEY!
So keep doing it – and if you can – do MORE of it!
The BIG problem most salon and spas have and the reason they feel their advertising and marketing doesn’t ‘pay off’ is because.
a. They don’t know these numbers.
and…
b. They don’t spend any time trying to improve them!
And that is WHY you should ONLY use direct response marketing.
So when you spend a pound, you KNOW how much you get back.
Think how much it would be if you knew with certainty that if you spent £1000 on marketing you’s get £3000 back!
What fun!
And how easy would it be to walk all over your competition??

The SIMPLE Path to Salon or Spa Business Success

I’ve been a little quiet over the last week or so.
‘Eat Your Own Medicine Henry’ has been on the top of my mind for a few weeks.
And I have.
Every once in a while I head off on a MISSION to see what’s happening in the world of salon and spa marketing, see what’s changing and see what’s REALLY worth spending time on.
The number of NEW options is astonishing.
And the rate of introduction of new options is increasing!
Yesterday a brand new type of search engine was released “Wolfram Alpha”.
I spent 30 minutes or so on there last night trying to figure out just how useful it is. I’m sure I’m missing something but besides calculating the distance from Bournemouth to Dubai and convert KM into miles I couldn’t figure out how it could help us.
Then I got confused.
For a brief millisecond my brain turned to jelly and everything got the better of me.
Everywhere I turned I found another ‘whizz-bang’ marketing option. Another social ‘fad’, another internet ‘gimmick’.
And OVERLOAD set in.
How could I possibly make sense of all the new marketing options available now and those about to hit us over the next few years?
How could I turn them into something that makes money for YOUR SALON OR SPA and for me?
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and reflected.
Reflected on what’s really important.
Reflected on what REALLY gets people to TRUST YOU.
Reflected on what REALLY gives you the ability to build a LONG TERM business.
And like a white dove descending through the clouds in a stream of sunlight I had clarity.
Everything Was Crystal Clear Again
And the ’secret’ is simple.
I KNOW you will agree.
The secret is ‘COMMUNICATION’.
That’s ALL that matters.
It makes no odds whether that’s via a letter, a postcard, an email, on a blog, on Twitter, Facebook or whatever.
99% of the emails I receive, the letters I get in the post, the ‘Twits’ I get on Twitter are just HORRIBLY badly written.
The people sending them have put about as much thought and effort into REAL COMMUNICATION as I put into reading them (i.e. virtually none).
And therefore their salon or spa marketing FAILS.
And it fails over and over and over again.
They spend hours sending emails, hours writing letters, endless time on Facebook, Twitter, in forums and on and on. And get LOUSY, STINKING results.
Here’s a MUCH better path to choose.
Become a WORLD CLASS communicator and MASTER a small number of salon and spa marketing tools.
Then beat your competition over the head with them for years and years and years…
And keep your eyes peeled – I’ll have something to help you very, very soon…
