And in most cases that’s true because it’s just a few pages with some pretty pictures, a list of treatments and a salon price list if ya lucky.
That’s OK.
BUT, more and more so people ARE researching and buying and booking beauty treatments and services online.
Here’s an example.
If you were looking to have some cosmetic dentistry done — maybe some teeth whitening or even a Simon Cowell ‘jobby’, where would you go for your research?
Sure, you’d ask your friends and family (and that is important) but where else would you look?
I suspect like most people you’d jump onto your PC, head to Google or similar and search for ‘cosmetic dentists’ in your area or perhaps ‘teeth whitening’ or whatever it may be.

Once again I was bombarded with ‘recession, recession, recession’.
Mortgage approvals at a record low, no car show because people aren’t buying cars, various celebrities very sadly either ill or passed away.
I took me a good half an hour or so to pull myself together and get to writing about something very important.
You see, it surprises me is how many salon and spa owners are still
making the same huge mistake.

Yesterday I received a copy of the Gazette and immediately started scanning through for my weekly article on recession survival.
I found it – it stood out like a sore thumb.
But as I was looking through the magazine — as I often do, I had a peek at the ads in there from all sorts of different businesses.
There was one particular page with 3 ads for local beauty salons.
For a moment I played customer and tried to decide from the three ads which one I would respond to.
I pondered, wondered and eventually came to the conclusion there was nothing to split them.
It was a case of ‘finger in the air’.
Is that what happens with your ads?
Are you doing enough to make you stand out – seem different – get ALL the response?
Perhaps you are, perhaps you aren’t.
But if you want a HUGE boost in response to ALL you ads, flyers, direct mail, websites etc then MAKE SURE these three components ARE included.
